Well the first SummerCamp 2006 news has been circulating. Fliers were handed out at the Keller Williams and Umphrey’s McGee New Year’s Eve shows, according to LiveMusicBlog.com. For those of you who haven’t heard of the SummerCamp, it’s a three-night festival held in Chillicothe, IL, just outside of Peoria a little to the North. Many of the artists featured are Canopy Club (of Chambana) regulars, seeing as the festival is held by Jay Goldberg Events & Entertainment Promotions, who I believe are the owners of Canopy, or at least they do all of Canopy’s promotion/booking. The following information has been confirmed so far, and I’ll update when I hear more.
May 26,27,28 (Friday-Sunday nights, and there’s usually a little party on the Thursday night before)
- moe. (3 nights)
- Umphrey’s McGee (2 nights)
- Keller Williams
- Over 40 bands with additional late night shows
Tickets go on sale Jan. 7 (early-bird tickets of $85 until supplies last or until March)

Dude, we had so much fun last year at this. We had nearly perfect weather the entire weekend, so I think that contributed the most, really…
The music, the microbrews, the breakfast vendors, the camping in the woods–this festival is just perfect for mine and my own…
We should meet up there, by the way. No doubt, I really want to.
yeah my buddies have gone the last two years and had the time of their lives, I haven’t made it due to lack of funds, but I should be camped out from Thursday night on this year.
Yeah, that’s our plan. We got there Thursday and stayed up all night, slept until the Particle set on Friday, so that was AWESOME…
I’m getting all excited just thinking about it…
