Summer Camp Artist #02: Honkytonk Homeslice

by Kane on March 18, 2006

Next in our Summer Camp Artist Series is Honkytonk Homeslice, side project of Billy Nershi, better known for his role as lead guitarist of String Cheese Incident. From their website:

“The group is a collaboration with Billy’s wife Jilian Nershi, who sings, plays guitar and contributes her original songs, and which features an ever evolving cast of characters. Most recently, good friend and accomplished singer/songwriter Scott Law has joined in on mandolin, electric and acoustic guitar and vocals.”

Honkytonk Homeslice should be going into the studio right now, in Spring 2006, to cut their first album. Until then I’ve collected some tracks from their website, and you can grab some of their live stuff from Archive.org.

From The Bedroom Tapes:

Honkytonk Homeslice – Another River
Honkytonk Homeslice – The Big Compromise+
Honkytonk Homeslice – Gone So Long+
Honkytonk Homeslice – Good Times Around The Bend+
Honkytonk Homeslice – Mile After Mile+^
