Summer Camp Artist #33 is Groovatron, a personal favorite of mine. I’ve seen a number of their shows at the Canopy Club here in Urbana, and they always put on a good, danceable set. They almost resemble a ska band since they’ve got 6 members, a few of which are on horns. I’ve always drawn that comparison, maybe it’s just me. They like to flow from rock to jazz to funk to techno, and keep going ’round the circle for a few hours every show. I’ve found a live show to share with you that has a couple of my favorite tracks and seems to represent their live sets pretty well. As always, check out the band’s website and befriend them on MySpace.

you’ve been on a entry streak lately. not that you don’t usually update, but this is like four entries per day average. i have never in my life seen this much motivation, and i took ap biology with asians in my other life (high school). all in all, i just wanted to say i am proud
Yeah, well I kind of have to finish a billion more posts before Summer Camp lol, so I’m in a hurry to pump them all out. The funny part is I’ve been averaging like 1 a day lol, and I need to be doing 2+ to finish on time. Oh well, it’ll happen.
