Well today seems to be *THE* cool day to release your album or EP, since a goshawful amount of bands are doing so. My personal choice for the day is The Derailers, check out their new site and their new album, Soldiers of Love. Today as you might know is June 6th, 2006, or 06/06/06. If that means anything to you, sweet, if not, read this. I can’t share much with you today since I have to run to work in less than an hour, but here’s what I’ve got:
All tracks streamed from Live Music Archive. Click on date and location for the entire show.
- The Grateful Dead – June 24th, 1976 – Tower Theatre, Upper Darby, PA – Friend Of The Devil (Very slow tempo rendition with multiple vocals, very cool, not a style of this track I’ve heard before)
- Madeline – June 22nd, 2005 – The Bike Barn, Falmouth, ME – What The Devil Don’t Know Won’t Hurt Him
- Tea Leaf Green – April 29th, 2006 – ATX Festival, Austin, TX – Devil’s Pay
- Tea Leaf Green – April 29th, 2006 – ATX Festival, Austin, TX – Incandescent Devil
- Robert Randolph and The Family Band – November 22nd, 2002 – Five Points Music Hall, Birmingham, AL – Devil In Disguise (Watch Out For) > Voodoo Child Is Ironman > Devil In Disguise
- Blues Traveler – May 12th, 2006 – House of Blues, Orlando, FL – The Devil Went Down To Georgia
- Disco Biscuits – March 18th, 1998 – Philadelphia Art Museum, Philadelphia, PA – The Devil’s Waltz > Afro Blue > The Devil’s Waltz

Your Jam band friends may or may not like the “Country meets Beatles” stuff, but I do. Good country…not the stuff you’ll hear on the radio much. Hadn’t seen the new Derailers website either. Nice to see them come out with a new focus. Soldiers of Love…I knew it better from Marshall Crenshaw, should have known it was a cover by him too.
Really liking Tea Leaf Green too.
And you had to go to work? Man I love the sound of that. More job less blogg? Hope you keep both up, but that’s also MUSIC to my ears!
Dad.
