2007 Ski Jam

If I happen to be working on New Year’s Eve, this may be a good alternative to get my fix for the holidays… some awesome live music *and* snowboarding, it’s a dream come true.

After seeing Vince Herman twice this summer, both at Summer Camp and 10,000 Lakes Festival, I think I’d go just about anywhere in the country to see that man jam. Great American Taxi better stick around as his jam vehicle for awhile, I simply loved their 10KLF show. Also I’ve never had a chance to focus on Hot Buttered Rum, Honkytonk Homeslice, Zilla, or Kyle Hollingsworth’s solo material, and Kyle in particular happens to be my favorite String Cheeser. Plus, the whole festival is relatively cheap.

Anyone been to past Ski Jam’s?  How is it compared to similar snow/jam festivals like Snoe.Down? Who’s comin’ with me?

    I don’t know man… seems a little cold… I say we hit Langerado this year instead… Have you seen that line up?

    nah brother, that’s right before spring break during midterms, but there’s another festival at the end of march i think. i wanna go to this instead of wasting my time at umphrey’s for new year’s.

    I don’t know about all this stuff. I’m working, man I wish I was back in college.
    But I do know elsinore is playing on Nov. 26th at Schubas. I thought it was sat. but I guess not. I’d suggest going, all you college aged people who have no time tables, and no hours. It’s a great venue, didn’t realize it was on Sunday….but I’d recommend this one. good band, burningoak likes them, I like them. What’s not to like? Ha.
    And Ski Jam? I have no idea where, but it sounds cool to me….get out the snowboards dudes.
    wussies, what you don’t have coats? Snow is good, when there’s a good time to be had. I highly recommend it.. Cleans out your sinuses, clears your mind. Cold good. Heat bad.
